Living the Dream Foundation benefits Prader-Willi Syndrome
Call them crazy! A 200-mile bike ride on a single speed 42-pound old-fashioned beach cruiser from Seattle to Portland-it's hard to imagine why they do it. All the other riders have lightweight multi-speed bikes. But Living the Dream Foundation sponsors the Cruiser Bike ride for Prader-Willi and again in 2012 raised another $6,000 for the cause. Each year, a team of men and women fly in from around the west coast and ride to raise money to support this foundation benefactor.
Mike and Scott Kuna are the brothers who started the team to raise money for those suffering from Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare and complex genetic disorder that affects appetite, growth, metabolism and overall development. Thank you to everyone who supports this ride financially. One day, your support will help find treatment for the most severe symptoms that effect people with Prader Willi Syndrome. That will be a day of great celebration for the families coping with this disorder.
