Beef Bourguignon

Beef Bourguignon

Pre-Assembled Tender steak braised in a red wine sauce surrounded by mushrooms, pearl onions, and bacon.

Medium Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator.
1. Choose Braising Method: Stovetop-Oven or Crockpot (See Step 4).
2.PREP MEAT: Remove steaks from packaging and pat meat dry. Once dry, cut steaks into 1-2 inch cubes. Add ¼ tsp. of kosher salt to flour mixture and shake bag to combine. Dredge cubed beef in flour mixture until all sides of cubes are coated. 3.Add 1 Tbsp. olive oil to the oven-safe pot and allow oil to get hot. Add steak cubes to the pan, in one layer. Sear cubes on each side for 3-5 min. until a golden brown crust forms.
4. STOVETOP-OVEN: Preheat oven to 325°F . Preheat oven-safe pot on stove over med-high heat. Add red wine mixture and 1/2 cup water to steak. Bring to a boil. Cover with lid and place in the oven. Bake for 1 hr.
4. CROCKPOT: Add browned steak, red wine braising liquid, and 1/2 cup water to crockpot and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
5. MUSHROOM SAUCE: THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE SERVING, heat a med. sauté pan over med-high heat. Add mushroom mixture to the pan and cook for 7-10 min. Add cooked mushroom mixture to the braised beef, cover with lid and continue cooking for 20-25 min. 6.Remove bay leaf before serving. Enjoy!
