Sherry Cream Chicken over Egg Noodles

Sherry Cream Chicken over Egg Noodles

Chicken breasts served with a combination of sherry cooking wine, Alfredo sauce, mushrooms, and tarragon.

Medium Prep time: 25-30 min.

Medium Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator.
1.Bring a large covered pot of water to a boil, add noodles and cook for 6-7 min. Drain and set aside.
2.Meanwhile, remove chicken from bag, pat dry and season with salt and pepper to taste.
3.In medium sauté pan over med. high heat, spray pan with nonstick cooking spray and brown chicken on each side 3-4 min. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.
4.Add mushroom mixture to pan and sauté 2-3 min., stirring occasionally.
5. Add 1/3 of a cup of water to sherry sauce (bag with thinner liquid). Pour into pan and bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 3-4 min.
6.Add Alfredo/onion mixture, stir to blend. Add chicken, cover, and simmer 10-12 min. (internal temp 165°F).
7.Uncover and turn off heat. Remove chicken from pan. Add cheese mixture to sauce and stir until well blended.
8.Evenly distribute egg noodles into bowls, top with chicken breast and sauce. Serve.
