Down Home Texas Ranch Chili with Cheddar Corn Cakes

Guest Favorite Lean ground beef and a kidney bean and black bean combo simmer with the bold flavors of chipotle, garlic and natural hickory smoke to create the perfect chili on your stovetop or in a crockpot. Cheddar Corn Cakes make for perfect dipping.

Medium Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator.
* Prepare Cheddar Corn Cakes per separate cooking instructions.
Stovetop.*
1.In large pot over med-high heat, brown ground beef, about 5-7 min. and drain excess liquid.
2.Add chili mixture to browned beef, cover and simmer 30-40 min.
3.Add beans to chili and simmer an additional 20 min.
4.Top each serving of chili with 2 Tbsp. cheese. and serve with Cheddar Corn Cakes.
Crockpot:
1.In medium sauté pan over med-high heat, brown ground beef about 5-7 min. and drain excess liquid.
2.Add browned ground beef, beans and chili mixture to crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hrs.
3.Top each serving of chili with 2 Tbsp. cheese. and serve with Cheddar Corn Cakes.
