Classic French Dip with Homemade Au Jus

Guest Favorite A traditional go-to for a satisfying dinner. We pile on the roast beef, top it with bubbly cheese and add a touch of horseradish mayo. Dip it in the savory homemade au jus for the finishing touch.

Medium Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator.
1.In a large saute pan, add au jus and bring to a boil. Place roast beef slices, individually, into sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer 2-3 min.
2.Meanwhile, preheat broiler to low. Split open buns and toast under broiler 30-60 sec. cut side up.Toast until edges toast to golden.
3. Slice Swiss cheese in half and place evenly on bottom cut side of bread. Place back under the broiler 1-3 min. until cheese is melted.
4.To assemble sandwiches, cut corner off horseradish mayonnaise bag and squeeze a line down top side of buns. Using tongs, evenly distribute loosely piled sliced roast beef on each sandwich and close.
5.In three small bowls, add 1/3 cup of au jus and serve on the side of each sandwich for dipping.
