Nashville Chicken Sandwiches

Guest Favorite Our classic "hot as you like it" Nashville Chicken with adjustable spice levels, sandwiched between two toasty buns with lite mayo and sliced pickles.

Medium Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator.
1.In a med-lrg sauté pan, add 3-4 Tbsp. of canola/vegetable oil. Heat over med-high heat until oil is hot (3-5 min).
2.While oil is heating, add 1/4 tsp. kosher salt and cayenne pepper (provided) to dredging mixture (Hot- 1/2 Tbsp., Med-1/4 Tbsp., Kid Friendly-none.) Remove chicken breasts from buttermilk and add to bag with dredging mixture. Seal bag and shake vigorously to evenly coat chicken breasts. Shake excess flour off chicken.
3.To not overcrowd pan, brown one to two chicken breasts at a time. Cook each side for 5-6 min., until chicken is golden brown (internal temp. 165°F.)
4.While chicken cooks, toast buns under boiler.
5.Using tongs, immediately place cooked chicken on paper towel to cool, sprinkle with salt if desired.
6.To serve: spread top bun with lite mayo and layer on pickle slices. Add cooked chicken to bottom bun and close with top bun.
