Nashville "Hot as You Like it" Chicken

New Choose your own adventure in spice in this classic Hot Chicken recipe! Perfectly seasoned chicken breasts that can be either pan fried or oven baked, pairs seamlessly with a maple glaze. The sweet, savory, and spicy kick creates a mouthwatering combination.

Medium Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator
1.In a med-lrg sauté pan, add 3-4 Tablespoons of canola/vegetable oil. Heat over med.-high heat until the oil is hot (3-5 min).
2.While oil is heating, remove chicken breasts from buttermilk and add to bag with dredging mixture, seal bag and shake vigorously to evenly coat chicken breasts. Shake excess flour off chicken.
3.Brown up to two-three chicken breasts at a time as to not over-crowd pan. Cook each side for 5-6 minutes, the chicken should be golden brown (Internal Temp. 165 degrees.)
4. While chicken cooks, Place maple glaze mixture in a large mixing bowl and stir to combine, set aside.
5.Using tongs, immediately place cooked chicken in hot glaze and toss to coat, remove from glaze and let excess glaze drip off before plating chicken. Sprinkle with salt if desired.
