Seared Steak with a Creamy Mushroom Thyme Sauce

Tender-seared ranch steaks finished with a velvety mushroom thyme sauce.

Large Prep time: 25-30 min.

Large Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator.
1.Preheat oven to 375°F. Preheat large sauté pan or cast-iron pan over high heat. While pan is heating, season steaks with salt and pepper. Add 1 Tbsp. of oil to heated pan. Sear steaks for 1-2 min. per side creating a golden brown crust. 2.Place seared steaks on baking sheet and top with half of garlic thyme butter to finish cooking in oven to desired temp.:
125°F for rare (about 8-10 min.)
135°F for medium rare (about 10-13 min.)
145°F for medium (about 13-15 min.)
155°F for well done (about 15-20 min.)
3.Remove steaks from oven and place on plate to rest, top with remaining butter. 4.Drain fat from sauté pan and lower heat to med-low. To pan, add mushroom mixture and cook for 2-3 min. 5.Add cream to pan and stir well to combine. The sauce should bubble and thicken, about 2-3 min.6.Spoon sauce over steaks and serve.
