French Onion Mac N Cheese

Favorite soup flavors turned homemade mac n cheese, this dish is sure to be a hit! Rich caramelized onion and swiss cheese make a flavorful sauce with penne pasta and a crisp bread crumb topping.

Serving Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator
1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Remove cover from pan and discard. Remove breadcrumb mixture and onion mixture from pan and set aside.
3.In a medium sauté pan over med. heat, add onion mixture and allow butter to melt and stir to combine.
4.To caramelize the onions, stir constantly for 5 min., the mixture should begin bubbling and caramelize.
5.Add caramelized onions to pasta mixture, lightly stir to combine. Bake for 30-35 min. then sprinkle topping over the top of mac n cheese. Bake another 15-20 min. or until heated through completely and breadcrumbs are golden brown.
5.Let cool for 5 min. then serve.
