At Dream Dinners, the safety of our guests and their families is our top priority. In most areas, Dream Dinners is zoned as a specialty food store meaning we are an essential business and will continue to provide delicious dinners to our guests through curbside pickup. We pride ourselves on providing a clean environment for our Made for You pick up sessions and assembly sessions where these are still possible. With the rising concerns around COVID-19 across the US, we wanted to update you on our ongoing health practices.

At Dream Dinners, we always follow local health guidelines in our professional kitchens including:

  • Our stores are required to be ServSafe and Health Department Certified.
  • Every staff member is required to have up to date food handler's cards based on local jurisdiction.
  • Guests are required to wash their hands between every meal they assemble.
  • Our counters are sanitized after every guest.
  • All additional equipment (including aprons and dishes) are sanitized after every use.
  • Staff members are not allowed to come to work if they are sick.
  • Hand washing is required by every guest and gloves are available.
  • Guests who are sick are required to reschedule or utilize our Made for You pick up service.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is no evidence to support the spread of COVID-19 through food or food packaging. See the CDC statement here: With the spread of COVID-19, we are requiring our stores provide additional food safety training to all staff and are requiring additional hand washing and glove usage for all guests and staff.

We are also keeping up to date and following CDC guidelines. With these health guidelines in place, we are moving forward with Made for You pick up sessions and in some locations, assembly sessions. We know that Dream Dinners is your dinnertime solution to help gather your family around the table in this time of uncertainty. We want to support your need to be prepared and avoid the grocery store, instead having easy dinners and side solutions ready in your freezer.

At our stores, we offer Made for You pick up service, where our helpful staff assembles your meals for you. Plus, many of our stores are offering curbside pickup, so you never have to leave the comfort of your car.

If you are assembling in a store, we ask that you help us with these health guidelines by doing the following:

  • Continue to follow guidelines by washing your hands between each meal you assemble.
  • If you choose to wear gloves, please switch your gloves and wash your hands between each meal you assemble.
  • If you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19, please reschedule to a new assembly session 1 – 2 weeks out or a Made for You pick up session and have another person pick up.

As the Coronavirus situation in the U.S. changes, we will continue to update you on any changes to our policy. If you have any questions, please reach out to your local store.
